Marco and I have been on the road for the past week visiting family and friends in Aberdeenshire and the Borders. It was all great fun but the best part was watching my pup become aquainted with some of the other dogs in my life. Not only has he become great pals with Rosie (at last), he’s also found a mud buddy in Rufus and a fellow bounder in Winston.
Aren’t dogs great?
Marco looks like he is having a great time with new pals! does he love going out in the car?
How adorable – so pleased that Marco has made some new friends on his road trip!
I hope Marco didnt learn too many bad habits from his new pals….Im sure the ‘mud’ thing is just a one off! Rosie looks aborable with her golden locks x
Yes, dogs are great. When set against my own dog, I struggle to think of many humans I would prefer to share time with. In fact, I’m not sure that I can think of any at all, except my girlfriend, perhaps, on a good day.
Glorious pictures, by the way – especially the fourth one down, which effortlessly captures the boundless and infectious lunacy of dogs. Magic.
Dogs totally rule.
Kind regards etc…

Dogs rule, indeed! Seeing these pictures, especially Marco’s quizzical look with Rosie’s mop hairdo to the left is so charming.
Love the muddy picture too. So typical! Bridie would always get into the stream & sit down in it right after I’d given her a bath & was taking her to a show. . Oh well. 🙂
Yes, they are.
Marco’s eyes…he’s so beautiful, Wendy.
Johanna – Yes and no. Yes as he knows it usually means he’s going somewhere fun. And no because if it takes more than an hour to get there he’s sometimes sick. :S
Antonia – Me too. 🙂
Gen – Well, he is still jumping in muddy puddles – thank you, Rufus!
TPE – Thank you. 🙂 Couldn’t agree more. Cliches aside, they really are best friends.
Kim – Yeah, they certainly have timing!
Lucy – I know. Sometimes I still can’t believe it.
How much fun is this for Marco!!! To think that just a short while ago he really didn’t look like he was having much fun and now he’s just a happy dog. Kudos. His adjustment seems not so terrible. The mud thing – well, I dunno…what is it about mud that dogs like so much?
poor marco – i had wondered if he got sick because we had a dog that got car sick when I was little (fitted right in with my family!)
He is soooo gorgeous!
I’m glad he and Rosie are finally pals.
There is a girl dog neighbor at our new house… I’m praying that my girls don’t kill her the day we move in. I think that would get us off to a bad start…
But they are old, crotchety and very protective…
Giz – He’s having a ball! I’m so very proud of how well he’s adapted. 🙂
Johanna – Yeah, I don’t travel well either!
Katie – My fingers are crossed for you! 🙂
Such lovely pics indeed, playful dogs are such cuties! The Rosie + Marco ones absolutely melst my heart…:)
…ahem, I meant “melts my heart” of course…
Pia – They really do adore each other now. So happy!
