  1. Just beautiful, Wendy! You can feel the cold and the crunching of the frost underfoot. I have similar photos taken in your area but in Spring. Once again magnificent – but still cold . We rarely seem to get frosts any more – what a pity.

  2. Great photos Wendy looks really nice. Its starting snowing here in Whistler yeah! Oh and the hot tubs awesome particularly when its snowing. Good to see the wee nipper running around.

  3. Wow! Absolutely stunning photos Wendy. You live in such a beautiful place. I shall think of your photos when I am jostling onto the number 63 here in London in the morning!

  4. beautiful pictures ~ you ever thought of having a gallery? no snow in the midlands yet, one lot of frost and some fog ~ but never so picturesque!

  7. What gorgeous photos! It has been almost 10 years since my husband and I came to Scotland for our honeymoon. We intend to come back in the summer of 2010 for our 10 year anniversary.

What a treat to discover you – both Scottish and Finnish influences in one place! My family history is exactly that – mother’s side is Finnish (she was born in Tampere), father’s side Scottish (grandmother born in Edinburgh).

It’s my first visit to your blog but I already feel at home!

Haven’t peeked around fully yet to see if you’ve posted any recipes for joulukinkku or pirrakka yet, two of my most favourite holiday recipes.
