Feathery Frost

Got a backlog of recipes to share with you but I’m just not in the blogging mood.  Perhaps once I go back to work tomorrow I’ll snap back into it.  Until then I’ll share some photos of the last few days.

It’s been stunning here recently.  Cold as hell (that’s not right…) but gorgeous nonetheless.

Even the barbed wire looks pretty.  🙂

  1. You take some of the most beautiful photos I have seen. What a gorgeous spot you call home. Blog when you feel like it. When it’s forced, the joy just goes out of it.

  2. ooh know what you mean about the snow. I’m down in rural southwest Scotland and it’s been -17C a couple of nights last week. Fabulous ice photographs 🙂

  3. Fant-icicle!!!
those crystals are so beautiful ~ wish they could be preserved ~ they would be the best christmas decorations ever.
we have had 4 inches of snow in the midlands and some ice crystals but nothing like that!

  4. Gorgeous photos Wendy! The light and the colours are terrific just now for photography. I wish I wasn’t housebound with the baby, I love hillwalking in this weather, the countryside is just so beautiful just now. I will live vicariously though you Wendy, so keep them coming 🙂

  5. Stunning photographs! Wow!

A few weeks ago, you asked which camera we got. Sorry for the delay in replying. We got a Nikon D5000, and I’m loving it. We were going to get one model down, I think it was D3000, because it had excellent reviews in a few camera magazines, but in the end decided on this one because it had the live view option. I’m glad we did, as I find it very useful.

  6. gorgeous photos – good luck with returning to work and hope that blogging bug doesn’t stay away too long – glad the photography mojo is still alive and kicking

  7. Your photos are stunning. Warm wishes to you from Melbourne Australia where today it is a very hot, windy and dry day of 43 degrees. Your wintry weather is looking very attractive right now!

  8. In northern New England, we’re used to lots of snow and ice, but we rarely get this kind of heavy crystallized frost. Amazing and fascinating.

  9. Ah, but Hell (Hel) IS cold … ask any Viking. They knew.

The soup sounds great, by the way. I have some purple cauliflower in the freezer. Now I know what to do with it.
