After a very tough, ridiculously busy few months at work, the Easter holidays have finally arrived. To say I’m happy would be the understatement of the year. It so good to have room in my head once again to take in the world. And to think about blogging too. I’ve been away from this space so long, it feels a little odd to be writing a post once again. Shall sort that out in the coming weeks by posting often.
Spent the first four days of the holiday on the west coast with friends. As if celebrating with us, the skies, which had been heavy and slate grey for weeks and weeks, broke out in brilliant blue for the whole weekend. A perfect backdrop to the fantastic time we had indulging in lots of good food and wine and then walking it all off on the hills and shores of Skye and Lochalsh.
Back home now and, really, I feel brand new.

We stayed in Duisdale the first night then were up in Dunvegan the second followed by a night in Duirinish, just outside Plockton, on the third. It was wonderful.
Wendy, your beautiful photos have transported me back to my time spent on Skye this past summer. I can almost smell the salt air and feel the crisp coolness of the wind on my face. And the vistas of Skye…is there any place else on earth with such amazing views? Thanks so much for sharing the breathtaking beauty of this area. I can’t wait to go back!

Oh Yeah, you’re back! I’m so glad you’re on holiday enjoying yourself. Lovely, lovely photos. I swam in them, swam in the blue. I live across the pond from you in the same latitude, and we experience very similar weather, so I know how it is suddenly having a weekend of blue. We’re back into the typical gray April, but last weekend, we had sun as well. Wishing you more sun and blue skies!
