Eleni – Welcome! Thank you for the kind words. 🙂
I just found your blog and am loving it…..i’m scottish but living on the west coast of america (i read that was one of the places you are contemplating visiting next summer and highly suggest you do – i’d be happy to help with any travel/hotel/restaurant tips).
Alison – Hello, welcome and thank you! May just take you up on the offer of tips next year. 🙂
Hi Wendy, I’ve just noticed that your morrocan spiced courgette link actually leads to your courgette bread.
Maninas – Thank you! It’s sorted now!
Wendy~
I have just found your site and enjoy it very much. Thanks.
I noticed from above you hope to travel to America & I too live on the west coast (Portland Oregon) so drop a line if you are coming our way.
Best~
Murphy – Thanks for the offer! Will do if I’m in the area. 🙂
Wrong day for me to look at your page coz I’m a muslim and we just stared fasting for the month of Ramadhan yesterday.
Are you in the UK?..silly q it does say Scottish food blog.
I noticed some asian recipes..are the from asian friends or asian recipe books?
Peace.

Maji6 – Hello!
I used to tutor a muslim girl in the evenings and remember having to work with gorgeous curry smells wafting through the house. I could barely contain myself even after having eaten dinner. No idea how the family managed to control themselves. 🙂
I am in Scotland. The Asian recipes are mostly from cook books or from travel influences (Japan and Thailand) or from restaurant inspiration (especially the Indian food).
Tonight I had this – http://www.quickindiancooking.com/2008/07/01/a-question-of-balance/ – It was amazing!

I made che chili bean soup, and it was delicious !I am a lousy cook, and even I could make a descent dish with your recipe. I had my family coming over ( my worst critics ) and everybody loved it. Thanks
do you have a recipe for macaroon bars
Hi Janice. I don’t, sorry. Will ask David, my partner, if he’s ever made them. Don’t think he has though…
Update! Just been on Jacqueline’s blog and Mairi’s and they’ve both just posted about Scottish macaroons. Not bars but are these what you’re looking for?

Oh how lovely your recipes are, so glad I found you, what a pleasure to read your blog. On the “what can I do for a change” days I just have a look through your lovely collection and away I go, off into the kitchen with renewed vigor! Thank you
I am so excited to have found this blog! I’m Scottish but know more about Italian food than Scottish food by far, so it’s fantastic to see such a fab recipe list to turn to when I’m feeling homesick. Thank you thank you thank you!!!
Hi there, I am a new blogger and I was looking for other Scottish food blogs when I found yours. Great recipe index, cute dog (on a parallel with my own two!). Hope to learn more from your well established blog – not least great recipes – and photography I can only aspire to. Thanks, Tracey
Thank you so much for this great blog and recipes! We visited Scotland last year for the first time, and fell in love with your beautiful country; this brings me right back to our visit and makes me wish I was still there enjoying the people, food and natural beauty. I am excited to try some of your recipes, with the hopes I can make it a “Scottish Meal”! (we’re from Idaho, USA) Many thanks again!
