  1. Wendy, he is soooo sweet and Marco is the perfect name for him. I am sure you are thrilled and spending every moment with your new child! Cannot wait to see more photos!!!!!
Congrats on your new arrival! Have fun:)

  2. He is SUPER beautiful!!! I could cry I’m so happy for you!

I just grabbed Poppy, propped her on my lap and showed her Marco on the screen…she sniffed and nodded her approval.

Marco is a VERY distinguished name and I’m glad you’ve kept it. Have a wonderful weekend with him.

  3. Marco it is. What a beautiful little dog Wendy. So happy for you. These animals that share our lives can make so much difference. Add in so much joy. Have a lovely, lovely weekend with Marco.

  4. Gen – Can’t wait till you and Rufus meet him!

Deb – Thank you! I really am thrilled to bits. 🙂

Celia – I know! I’m loving every second!

Antonia – He howled all night last night. It broke my heart. Eventually slept in the living room so he could see me. Wonder how tonight will go…

Giz – He is indeed! 🙂

Lucy – Oh, I’m glad Poppy approves. I actually preferred the name Douglas but when I realised he actually responded well to his original name I knew I’d be nuts to create more work for myself. Feeling wonderfully happy. Even with only 3 hours sleep!

Kathryn – Thank you so much! We’ve been out walking today and I’ve been so happy and proud!

Pat – hee hee! Thank you!

    Aforkfullofspaghetti – I know I am. 🙂

  5. Wendy – he is so gorgeous. I laughed out loud when I read that you had slept in the same room as him. Thank goodness it is the holidays now and you have time to train him. Hopefully we will get to meet a perfect gentledog. love S.
p.s. Andy asks ‘has D. packed his bags yet?’

  6. omg! he is totally fab and cuddly. have you got him home?

i still remember the day we brought our megan home, she was the most beautiful dog in the world, well apart from marco. he really suits his name btw!

    enjoy puppyhood!!!

  7. Megan – I do! He’s sleeping by my side right now! Heaven.

    Maryann – I know! 🙂

Jenn – Thank you so much! I can’t stop smiling. 🙂

  8. just saw this and remembered I had meant to comment – I think the person defines the name rather than the name defining the person – when got our cat zinc E was so keen on changing it but the longer we had her without changing it, the more she could be nothing but zinc!

Oh and re your other comment about my parents’ lab springer spaniel cross – she did have lots of energy but was the most timid dog I have ever seen – was scared of other dogs but a joy with children because she was so easy to trust
