What a nice wet pooch! And your car’s backseat is perfectly set up for mopping up spaniels. They’re like sponges.
Reminds me of Ricky (my old boy, who now lives with parents) who when I held him up to see into the fountain on the VA campus, promptly jumped in. he swam around & around in the fountain, very happily. I’m glad nobody saw us. 😉
Thanks for the reminder that at some point, it will be cold(ish) here again!! I wonder if your cold pictures could put out a fire, because if they could we could really use a few more down here!!
Ooh, yeah. You know, the M8 was closed sometime around Christmas, here in Glasgow, so that they could remove the gigantic icicles which were threatening to damage passing vehicles. I missed it. Sigh.
Oh wow. These pictures really show how comprehensive the snow cover is. David must be in heaven every weekend. Lovely photographs and that dog is hardy! love Shona
Wonderful pictures again. You’ve mentioned before that Marco is just out of shot either making ripples or straining to get into the water. He really managed it this time – did he con you into letting him take the stick home!

Thank you so much for the comments on my blog! I do agree with what you wrote about Finnish; the vowels are constant and easier than the grammatical system!
Wendy – How could I?! My sincere apologies. 🙂 When we’re at Loch Ness Marco tends to fetch sticks from the water then take them to some dry “safe” spot where he lays them down very gently as if to say “There. That’s where you’re supposed to be.” But if we’re walking in the local woods then a stick MUST be taken home. My garden is a mess!
Ooooooooo! those mountains remind me of paintings by Masakatsu Kondo (http://www.culturebase.net/artist.php?841)
Marco is such a cute dog – and he’s so lucky to be taken on exciting adventures 🙂

Oooooh, you truly live in a beautiful country! Visited last year and was really amazed.
Makes me wanna get into my car and drive up.
Beautiful pictures – they make me want to hop on a plane right now!

Incredible pictures Wendy, as always! I love the light up there! (I know I say that all the time). Marco looks so adorable too.
